Sunflower Tri-Shutter

This is a tri-shutter I did several weeks ago for the friend of a friend who was going through a difficult time... she loved it... Sorry my pics aren't more professional... it's trial and error with me...

This one has a few store-bought decorations on it... but my favorite is the large sunflower... I found it at Hobby Lobby in their fall/Thanksgiving decorations aisle... I think there were a few in a package... wish I had bought more of them... it is made of several layers of thick felt with zigzag stitching around the center... it's heavy by comparison to other embellishments so I actually hot-glued it to the card...

It really is striking... oh, the thing on the far right panel with the ribbon streamers is a removable bookmark...
I'll have another one I did with another one of these sunflowers for you tomorrow...
Have a great day!
Blessings and happy crafting!

I stumbled across your website the other day and really enjoy seeing the cards you make. What a wonderful idea to have a removable book mark. How did you stick it on to make it removable??? or is that a trade secret?

If you're referring to one of the tri-shutters that has a sunflower (I think)...
I believe I used just one glue dot... they can be kinda "rubbed off" like some of the things we get in our junk mail and what they use to attach new credit/debit cards to the accompanying insert when sent through the mail... does that make sense?

The folio card provides a pocket that is great for a bookmark also... think you can search for that tag on my blog or just scroll back a few days and you'll see it...
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving...

Glad you like my stuff... just started teaching some classes at our new local Hobby Lobby here in Orlando... where are you located?

I just posted the Christmas easel card I had my class make last night... check it out...
